Aspen Grove or Timpooneke Trailhead, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache NF, Utah, USA
Two main routes: Timpooneke (shorter, steeper) or Aspen Grove (longer, more scenic). Both trails converge near the saddle below the summit. The Aspen Grove trail passes Emerald Lake, a beautiful alpine tarn. From the saddle, hike across the glacier snowfield (present most of year) and scramble up the rocky summit block. The top is a knife-edge ridge with a small shelter. Utah's most popular hike - start early to find parking. An annual Timp Hike tradition draws thousands.
