The Gouter Route is most popular. Take the Tramway du Mont-Blanc to Nid d'Aigle (2,372m). Climb to the Gouter Hut (3,817m), crossing the dangerous Grand Couloir early morning to avoid rockfall. From the hut, follow the snow ridge to the Dome du Gouter, then descend slightly to the Col du Dome. The final push follows the exposed Bosses Ridge to the summit. Rope required for glacier and ridge travel.
